"The state-run Middle East News Agency said that 448 people were injured in the fighting around the embassy, including 46 police officers.
An Israeli official in Jerusalem confirmed that the embassy had been broken into....
The phone calls left Panetta “encouraged that both governments want to find a peaceful outcome to the situation,” said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation."...

"Both governments?" Israel was doing nothing. Its building was sitting there and Egyptian animals vandalized it. This is the moment Obama, Samantha Power et al. have been waiting for most of their adult lives.
