Pope Francis calls for nothing less than demotion of individualism-McKibben. Pope's proclaimed "meekness" on Christian genocide and beheading of children relieves planet of many apparently burdensome individuals. Pope now 'junior partner' of US Ruling Class

"Francis calls for nothing less than the demotion of individualism..."so as to hear both the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor."...

"What is the best way to respond to this threat of fundamentalist Muslims? Pope Francis: "The best way to respond is always meekness.""...1/15/15

This so-called Pope goes deaf at the cries of beheaded Christian children and their parents, won't use his global “bully pulpit” to prevent Christian genocide. It's not on Ruling Class agenda.

Allegedly, Christian children in Mosul are being systematically beheaded and their little heads placed on poles in a park as a warning to others who love their children."  8/8/2014, CatholicOnline

6/18/15, "Pope Francis: The Cry of the Earth," NY Review of Books, Bill McKibben

"The old conceit that the president has a “bully pulpit” needs updating; it’s clear that the pulpit at St. Peter’s Basilica is now the bulliest of all....

Simply by writing it, the pope—the single most prominent person on the planet, and of all celebrities and leaders the most skilled at using gesture to communicate—has managed to get across the crucial point: our environmental peril, and in particular, climate change, is the most pressing issue of our time. We face, he says, “desolation,” and we must turn as fast as we can away from coal, oil, and gas."...

Image caption: "Islamists killing a woman by slitting her throat and capturing her blood in a bowl, holding her firm as her life literally drains from her neck. Such forms of execution are intended to intimidate others." 8/8/2014, CatholicOnline

(continuing): "Science by itself has proven empirically impotent to force action on this greatest of crises; now, at last, someone with authority is explaining precisely why it matters that we’re overheating the planet....

“A true ecological approach,” he writes, always becomes a social approach; it must integrate questions of justice in debates on the environment, so as to hear both the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor.”...

But the heart of the encyclical is less an account of environmental or social destruction than a remarkable attack on the way our world runs: on the “rapidification” of modern life, on the way that economic growth and technology trump all other concerns."...

Image caption: "Convert or die. ISIS militants are crucifying victims because to them crucifixion is especially humiliating due to its Christian implications." 8/8/14, CatholicOnline

(continuing): "Francis calls for nothing less than the demotion of individualism and a renewed concern for what we hold in common as humans (the encyclical is explicitly directed to all of us, Catholic or not, since the environmental crisis is more universal than any challenge before it). “The rejection of every form of self-centeredness and self-absorption [is] essential if we truly wish to care for our brothers and sisters and for the natural environment,” he writes....

Whatever is fragile, like the environment, is defenseless before the interests of a deified market,” he has written, adding knowingly today that, “consequently the most one can expect [from our leaders] is superficial rhetoric, sporadic acts of philanthropy, and perfunctory expressions of concern.”...

Image caption: "All humanity owes a debt to this baby girl, to find her murderers and bring them to justice, dead or alive. That the nations of the world and its citizens sit complacent is the greatest embarrassment to civilization and should be the source of deep shame to all. Everything less that we do is pales by comparison. We have a moral imperative to act." 8/8/14, CatholicOnline

(continuing): "This marks the first time that a person of great authority in our global culture has fully recognized the scale and depth of our crisis, and the consequent necessary rethinking of what it means to be human."

Pope Francis hopes Christian genocide and beheading doesn't happen to him:

Catholic Online:  The world watches beheading and genocide of Christians in "the epitome of shame:"

8/8/2014, "WARNING GRAPHIC PHOTOS (RAW) - ISIS begins killing Christians in Mosul, CHILDREN BEHEADED," catholic.org, CatholicOnline

"The killings have begun. The world does the least it can do. Islamic State terrorists have begun their promised killing of Christians in Mosul, and they have started with the children. According to a report via CNN, a Chaldean-American businessman has said that killings have started in Mosul and children's heads are being erected on poles in a city park."...

"Scientists say...."

"The ruling class is united and adamant about nothing so much as its right to pronounce definitive, "scientific" judgment on whatever it chooses."

July-August 2010, "America’s Ruling Class — And the Perils of Revolution," Angelo M. Codevilla, The American Spectator

"Science is "science" only in the "right" hands. Consensus among the right people is the only standard of truth. Facts and logic matter only insofar as proper authority acknowledges them. That is why the ruling class is united and adamant about nothing so much as its right to pronounce definitive, "scientific" judgment on whatever it chooses. When the government declares, and its associated press echoes that "scientists say" this or that, ordinary people -- or for that matter scientists who "don't say," or are not part of the ruling class -- lose any right to see the information that went into what "scientists say.""....(Subhead, "Disaggregating and Dispiriting," 5th parag.)

The Pope has been selected as a "privileged interlocutor...a junior partner" of the US Ruling Class:

"Who depends on whom?

"To the extent party leaders do not have to worry about voters, they can choose privileged interlocutors...In America ever more since the 1930s -- elsewhere in the world this practice is ubiquitous and long-standing -- government has designated certain individuals, companies, and organizations within each of society's sectors as (junior) partners in elaborating laws and administrative rules.... The government empowers the persons it has chosen over those not chosen, deems them the sector's true representatives, and rewards them. They become part of the ruling class."...(4th parag. in subhead)

Newsweek cover, 3/26/2015, "The New Exodus: Christians Flee ISIS in the Middle East," by and

It is good that the media is FINALLY starting to notice the persecution of Christian and other minorities, but this column tries to distort the picture in Israel by lumping in Israeli Christians with non-Israeli Christians living in the disputed territories. Israeli Christians have the most rights and securities of any Christians in the region and it is the only Christian community that is actually growing in size in the region. The article attributes the diminishing Arab Christian community in the territories to generalized "violence" and "conflict" rather to persecution by Muslim extremists. Most mainstream news outlets stubbornly refuse to confront the full depth of Muslim radicalism."· March 29 at 6:05am
