More leaks to NY Times, this one revealing whiny, 'poor me' response advised by Kushner following appointment of special counsel, as opposed to measured response advocated by other Trump advisors. Jared ultimately won. Trump at first gave measured response, but by following morning, Trump changed to emotional, 'I'm a victim' response and displayed it on twitter-The Hill, May 18, 2017

"President Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, reportedly advocated an "attack" response style over a more measured reaction in a White House huddle on Wednesday, according to a new report.

The meeting followed the appointment of former FBI Director Robert Mueller as special counsel in charge of the Department of Justice investigation into Russian election meddling and possible collusion by the Trump campaign. It resulted in conflicting messages issued by the White House in response to the appointment.

After Trump learned Mueller's appointment, the president called in staff members including

Kushner,
White House press secretary Sean Spicer,
communications director Michael Dubke,
chief of staff Reince Priebus and
chief strategist Stephen Bannon,

The New York Times reported.

While most of the people encouraged the president to issue a statement accepting the decision of the deputy attorney general, Kushner didn't agree, two senior administration officials told the Times.

Instead, Kushner pushed for the president to counterattack.

The White House then released a statement late on Wednesday voicing confidence that the newly appointed special counsel leading the federal investigation would find no collusion between Trump's campaign and Moscow.

“A thorough investigation will confirm what we already know — there was no collusion between my campaign and any foreign entity,” Trump said in the Wednesday statement. “I look forward to this matter concluding quickly.”

But on Thursday, the president sent out a series of morning tweets in stark contrast to his measured reaction from the day before.

“This is the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history!” Trump tweeted.

“With all of the illegal acts that took place in the Clinton campaign and Obama Administration, there was never a special councel [sic] appointed!” he said in another tweet." Image of Kushner from The Hill video

Trump is surrounded by leftists. There are about 3300 liberal democrats in and around the White House including most on The Security Council. But Trump will not fire them. He apparently likes being surrounded by dems. But he doesn´t seem to understand how toxic they can be (especially if you have an R after your name), including the libs in his own family. If he understood, he could easily get rid of them and replace them without any Senate confirmation. But, he won´t. So this is what its going to be like throughout his tenure. Except of course, it going to get worse. This is the reality."

There were a limited number of people at the meeting so it should not be difficult to find out who ´leaked´ the contents of that meeting. Either those at the meeting or whoever they told should be fired immediately. I don´t see how spreading this info helps Trump or his administration."
